About 6-8 weeks. Well, he has upgraded his TQ Converter and has the fully locked diff., but yeah, he's pushing the envelope on his car so much that I wouldn't be surprised if it breaks fairly quickly. At least he's a BMW Mechanic at a BMW dealership who can just fix it himself when it does break...that's an advantage.

I would like to wait and see. I have my reservations also, I don't want to be a hater either but going from 11.9 down to 11.2 is a huge drop.
If they really ran the 11.2@121 then we better pull our pants down. , I will be the first one to do so |

Yea I am sure that is really pushing the envelope. Was NOS on the car? I too keep hearing rumors of NOS being on the car. Me and 1clean335 are going down there tomorrow. If I am allowed I will try and snap some pics of the car. I will try and see if he lets me in the trunk and see if I can open up any good hotspots for NOS placement. Hopefully we get down there tomorrow and are allowed some pics.

Never said it doesn't work, In fact I remember saying that it would make more power for sure. But that doesn't eliminated the short comings of it. These are someone else's words not mine "That could be the single most retarded intake I have ever seen."

It probably turns and chirps the tires as it skips through the arc of travel. If I take a slow corner with winter tires, my tires may chirp on dry ground. If he is actually running a spool, then the car is now just a track toy.

HA, now its up to 456rwhp, why is it we never saw the 423rwhp? Why do we never see a dyno of the intake? A before and after? I dont know why everyone is so gullible. Its obvious...

Ill have a before and after dyno of the VIP CAI coming soon. Dyno is 1hr 1/2 away, so once i find sometime to get over there, i will. Stay tuned. FWIW, even without a dyno reading, i highly recommend the CAI

http://www.dragtimes.com/BMW-335i-Timeslip-14075.html Hmm, Coincidence? The only 335 with NOS on dragtimes happens to be a SEDAN and also ran at the same TRACK as the VIP car. What are the chances of both cars being the same car but nearly a year apart? Is the one that ran with NOS last year Blue as well???? |

Is this really "tuning" the 335i? I mean, if you want to go fast in a straight line and eliminate practically everything that makes this car so good, why not just buy a C5 Vette and mod that? Cheaper, easier, and you get a nice V8 sound not possible with an I6. Seriously though, the real value to the E90Post.com community is that someone is willing to go to these extreme lengths the interest of R&D. I'm very interested to see how the 6AT stands up to that much torque, since with a typical piggyback tune we're supposedly already at the limits (or past them ), assuming they disclose when the tranny fails . This is good stuff for all of us. |
