Help with IC/ DP Install NYC/Long Island Area

Hey guys, i just moved to the area and i'm looking for someone to help me find with my Intercooler install and possible downpipe install. Or recommend someone to install it for me.

I would usually do this on my own, but i have no tools, lift, or anything with me out here.

I would be looking to do this in the next month or so. Intercooler is purchased, so im ready to install that.

Recommend any shops or individuals to help me out?

E46_Keith gets recommended a lot in the NYC area for stuff like this. Haven't used him personally, but a lot of people swear by his work.

Plan to register you veeehecule in this Fair State?

If so I am not sure if the DP would be worth the hassle with inspections, but the DP fix would help with that problem I believe.

I have heard good things about E46_Keith as well, and he posts plenty pics of his work on iG. I think he is more of an actual home-based mechanic, then someone that would be willing to help on a boring Sunday.

Exactly what im loooking for

Rather local than a shop.

And no i will not be registering my car here, i can swing back to pa real fast for inspections when needed.

I did both my ic and dp's in my driveway on jack stands and ramps, I'm on the island too and can give you advice or possibly help. It's not terrible really, especially if your car isn't xdrive but I'll assume it is given where you drive. It also depends on which dp's and which ic you have.

Also, I would recommend MNC performance in Oceanside if you were to use a shop to install.

you did the dp for your xdrive in your driveway? how was that experience?

It was......an experience haha. Now that I know what to look for it wouldn't be too bad, aside from the lack of space and working on your back.

Now doing the ic on the other hand was a breeze, and I had to trim my bumper because I have a 7" vrsf...

FMIC install help needed. No tools or jack. Will provide beer. lol

Also experience with cutting the bumper shroud to make a 7" IC fit would be awesome. No idea what to expect.

he has a lift in his garage lol

i'm sure he can do your fmic also....

just dont know if you're close to astoria.
