I just changed all 4 dampers on mine along with all the mounts etc using the original sachs kit, my ride height at the front is ridiculously high now!

it was high before compared to the rear but the rear was low as the dampers were well and truly shot. Hoping they settle and drop a fraction

That's strange. I didn't measure my ride height before and after but visually it looks the same. Only the FL corner is higher but that's because the damper was completely gone.

Is your car SE or M sport?

If you haven't changed springs then the only things that can effect the height would be:

top mounts - incorrect so thickness causes the extra difference

shock spring mounting platform - so the platform that spring sits on is in the wrong position to the OE location

incorrect fitment - maybe the shock hasn't been dropped fully into the mounting on the hub

The springs are the only thing that dictates the height so it has to do with the points at which the springs sit to effect that.

Following on from this thread I bought a SSD for the CIC unit, http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=841458

It is supposed to make the CIC much quicker and reduce overall loading times.

I had a 20% off eBay voucher which came in handy.

Zheno SSD

Removal of the old unit was simple, did a copy of the contents to the SSD and worked 1st time when fitted.

During install

Original HD

New SSD mounted

Overall a noticeable improvement in speed, not night and day difference though. The maps do load much quicker and the zooming is almost instant.
Did your car come with the CIC? When bought or did you install
