That's part of the reason i asked which intercooler. I havent seen much datat to suggest what is appropriate for what. It just seems like it's a case of "bigger=better" without actually looking at data. As has been said, if the 5" is good for 500whp then thats more than enough for me. But i havent seen data to confirm or deny this

wouldn't it be ezier to ASK ETS???

Like I mention earlier... Micheal from ETS stated that the 5" is good up to 600whp with METH and 500whp without

From what I understand a stock ic can handle 500, 600, 700 or whatever hp
The benefit of a upgraded ic is to keep iats in check so you can maintain high hp levels pull after pull...... Ic's don't make hp, they help maintain it.... I'm pretty sure a 5" ic won't just quit working cause you have to much hp. If your not worried about slight pressure drop due to size of 7" I have no doubt you would maintain high hp levels for longer....... Your gonna get heat soak regardless it's just a matter of when

Brought up the dead lol

And it's not run after run. With tune only IATs get out of hand on the FIRST run! IATs on my car with tune only and stock intercooler rise 40+ deg on the first run no matter what (dead of winter or summer). I see logs with guys with good intercoolers and more boost only climbing 10-15 deg and run after run. It should be the next mod after a tune.

RB's on meth, I've had the 5" for a couple of years. Love it, never any issues.

Im FBO running stage 1 aggressive with the VRSF 5in. I wanted to show my logs. Sometimes when the weather is hot and car is warm my AIT go up 25+ in one gear. but this log i noticed only a 7 degree increase on a 3rd gear WOT pull. so i guess the 5in is doing the job

I was thinking whether to get the ETS 7 or 5, I chose the 5 inch. Both are quality compared to other brands too. I wasn't worried about cutting on the install part for the car, just not doing multiple runs and it being a daily driver right now so 5 inch was fine, however if you have to ask yourself what your application is, and like most said it get it done right the first time like others have stated.
