Selling anything....330d especially

Is anybody buying 330d cars at all?

Recently we have seen a couple of people, at least, saying that they were planning on buying 330d cars, but at the same time anyone with one to sell seems unable to shift them.

I'm asking because I have seen an especially cheap 530d M Sport which I want to buy, but I would need to commit to buying it today without knowing whether I could find a buyer for my 330d at a reasonable price. If I had to give the 330d away it would negate the benefit of buying the 530d.

I am wondering if I put mine up for sale at £13,995 how likely it would be to shift. At that price it would be the cheapest <60k miles 330d with both Xenons and Professional Nav.

Rest of the spec is:

2007/57 M Sport 52,500 miles
Titan Silver
MANUAL
Lemon Dakota Leather
Alpine stereo upgrade
iPod connection in glovebox
unkerbed MV3 alloys
Falken FK452 tyres
11,000 miles to next service
10 months MOT
plus the usual 330d spec.......

Thoughts?

Yeah I'm 1 of the guys that can't shift mine. Not even getting phone calls or daft offers.

Think it's priced well but maybe not cheap enough? Looks like I'll keep it till next year then try again.

i'm not selling mine, just cannot justify any change knowing that I will most likely struggle to sell it.

To sell your car these days it has to be the lowest priced 330d in the country to sell quickly. The arse has fell out of the 2nd hand car market at the minute.
Im thinking about selling my 320d m sport touring and I reckon if I want it sold I'll need to take a 2 grand hit in 9 months!
Just the way the market is these days with all the negativity in the economy.

Yes, they certainly are selling - but at the right price.

My old part ex'd 330d 56 plate with 67K miles (see the spec in my picture album thing) was up for £13,990 and sold in 3 days about 3 weeks ago - but that was BMW AUC so had the usual £1-2K premium on the price for that. Of course they may have dropped the price for the seller - who knows.

To give you an idea on price, go get a few part ex quotes - you'll have a heart attack. I was lucky and got £10K for mine - prob because I was buying a brand new car however other BMW dealerships were offering £8.5K . That was a month or so ago and I would be looking around £8K now I'm sure. You would probably get a bit more for yours as yours is a year newer and has Nav. The reason for mentioning the part ex prices is it gives you an idea of prices in the trade and to gauge your private asking price realistically. Best of luck trying to sell it.

I reckon it will be nearer £5k in 9 months, the price has absolutely slammed in the last 6 months and with the news over the last day or so things are not going to get better.

Do you reckon this gloom means I could scoop up lingering £12-14k CLK55 cab for buttons? Worth an £8k kick in the nuts?

Following on from my post above, I've just found my car for sale again so looks like the BMW dealership off loaded it to an independant.

Looks like it was up for £11989 and now sold:

I dont think it had a limited slip diff though. But it is my car as the reg matches on their website.
