335i - Exhaust / Tuning Suggestions?
Hey All,
I have a 2007 E90 335i 6-speed manual w/ JB3 tuning. I am in the market for an exhaust system right now and from youtube videos, the Borla sounds like a nice choice (not as nice as eisenmann but much cheaper?). It isn't overly loud or obnoxious in my opinion. What is the boards opinion on Borla for gains/sound/quality? Also, I am dabbling on the thoughts of what else I could do while I am getting these installed to add some extra gains. I was thinking maybe high-flow cat or downpipes or something.... Any suggestions on this? Would that be a horrible thing for passing smog / messing up my warranty? Any suggestions on some tuning parts I should look into? Thanks a lot guys for your help! I am not a car expert, but I sure love driving fast =) |

if you want not to loud but still enough to know i suggest doing some downpipes and doing the golf tee to open the valve up. downpipes will also give you much more power than a dp back exhaust... the sound is amazing.... just do downpipes open the valve and get a set of cyba tips and your set. much cheaper also... 1000 dp + 100 tips + .10 golf tee vs 1500 for a good exhaust...
however if you've made up your mind on a full dp back exhaust buy AE or Vanguard... best sounding systems ever and the quality is amazing... |
