I was just going to change it in a weeks time when I get my clutch installed. I thought after one drive any metal or gasket sealant would be loose so changing fluid straight up would be good.

I was thinking about a magnet now I have LSD.

It sounds good to say I have LSD in my BMW!

I'm one of the first ten to get them.

Diff is smooth, no clunks or noises.

I went and did a heap of figure 8s in bunnings car park, not sure if you have to break them in but i did that and have taken it easy so far.

The inlets will get installed in about 3 weeks when i get back.
Im going to order the turbosmart kompact plumb back system today so its here at the same time.

I recall reading mfactory stating to do a heap of 'doughnuts' (no wheelspin) for a duration of 30 minutes when breaking the diff in...

The BMW TIS for the LSD in the M3 with breaking in the diff fluid with FM additive was to do something like 18 right tight turns, then 18 left tight turns albeit this is with a clutch type LSD.... (the mfactory guideline seemed a tad excessive to me personally?)

I'll go back to bunnings tonight and do some more just in case.

Booked in next Monday to install the twin plate clutch.

I really want to hit wedge up for an e40 tune but I'm only home for a week. I'll wait for the inlets and break in the new clutch first.

Done about 200km on new diff and have noticed something started squeaking like break pads being worn out.

I jacked up the rear wheels and it makes a scraping noise each revolution.

Will post up youtube video soon...

Might be the handbrake shoes or something caught in the brake shields

I have been under twice and it looks and sound like the metal dust cover on the left rear is scraping once per revolution. i bent it out slightly all the way around but the noise persists.

its booked in friday for the clutch but might have to get this sorted asap diy

Easy to leave tyre marks in 2nd.
But dyno feels about 50hp more.

Will load a virtual dyno today.

Old virtual dyno was averaging 410 410.
This should show alot more on e40 considering it has massive but dyno kick compared to pump fuel

Just went to do some logging on v2 of E45 and clutch cant handle it anymore 3rd gear slips each time.

If you have RBs on a manual car do not use E85 unless you have a clutch ready to go.

Still worth 70 bucks to have a go at E85 for a day, lasted about 70km until the clutch went.

Changed the transmission oil.
Just did a quick spin around the block but couldn't notice any difference.

quick check showed that this should take 2 quartz, 1.89L.

Only drained 1.45L and it looked black and thin as water
