I'm going to be in the Keys during IFO so I won't be there. I also can't stand going to the track and waiting an hour to make a pass during a big event like that. Private track rental are a lot more enjoyable for me.

Definitely right on that. I went opening day test and tune in the Saleen and only got two runs all day I'm going to IFO just to check out the cars and hang out. They charge $30 to run anyways during IFO I believe

It's the same to run as it is to spectate. CR track day has about the same cost. My buddy is trying to run in the 8s in his LSx swapped RX7. I hope he can pull it off.

What's your friends name? And at IFO, entry is just $17 or so, $30 to run your car... But either way, I'd rather do it at CR track day. If I don't go out of town, I'll probably be there. Do I need to be on CR and go through there or can I just show up?

You can register here and do not have to be a member. It's $32 and well worth it.

Sam Demeter owns the RX7, it's a FC that is flat black with BBS wheels, doesn't look like anything special.

That thing is awesome! I feel this would piss a trooper off though which would diminish any chance of getting cut a break. In Ohio they can give speeding tickets based on "visual" assessment so they don't technically need a speed reading device to write a ticket

The trooper probably wouldn't even see it, and even if he did, chances are he wouldn't know what it is. Plus, you can put them in parking sensor only mode.

Here's what my rear diodes look like. I'm installing the fronts today, and they will be pretty hard to see.

When the gun shows an error though it will be pretty obvious lol

You don't jam to gun. Get an alert, slow to the speed limit, turn off the jammers. Or just set a timer in the CPU to jam for 4 seconds (or whatever) then cut off.

Not to mention, guns don't show an "error". Some know they are being jammed and will say that, but that's not many. Otherwise they just don't get a lock.

I hear you but the only way to get an alert it to sense the guns LIDAR, that being said the gun has to be engaged in order for you to even sense the signal. By the time you sense the signal is usually too late, unless you are jamming the signal.

If the gun is engaged it will try to read your speed. What these do is send similar frequency light back at the gun to confuse it so it cant tell between its own lidar and the one coming from this unit. This causes the gun to show an error.

Check this out, they test a bunch of Laser guns and how they react to a similar jammer. A bunch of the guns get error readings since they cant read a speed.

The "error code 02" they are talking about is "Measurement error – insufficient data." You get that error when there's no jammers installed. It just means that it's not receiving enough data back to get a read. It could be that the car is too far away or any number of things.

Error code 07 on that gun is when it thinks it's being jammed. http://www.teletrafficuk.com/pdf/man...ralyte-100.pdf

I realize I should have worded "they don't show errors" differently. They do show errors, but those errors could be caused by many things other than jammers. A few do know they are being jammed, as I said, but not many of them do.

Speaking of IFO, I'll be going with my brother. If any of you want to cruise down.. We're in North Royalton, probably leave around 8 or 9.

There is a big group meeting in Dublin if you are interested when you get closer to CBus. But, you will want to plan on getting there before 11/12, it gets packed and FAST. Last year, if you weren't in line before 11, there was an hour or two wait before getting in the gates...

Are you driving your BMW or going in your brother's car? There never really are too many BMW's :/

Absolutely going in the BMW! We'll be leaving at 7 after further discussion about it, so we should get there relatively early, assuming we run into no snags. Another 1'er will be coming down as well!

What are the details for the meet in Dublin?

It's a 91, he hurt the motor on a waste gate pass running 9.92.

Did you make the event?
