The monochromic look can work well pulled off a certain way. When it comes to modding you can have a personal style but it's all in the presentation. A lot of mods have been "normalized" and deemed as the "right" way to mod, however in the same breath there are times when you can still miss the mark.

I would work on the side skirts before anything else. That doesn't help the case at all.

The chrome lips are throwing off the look, and with the darker colored face, the wheel looks a tad smaller than what it really is. I would actually color the lips as well.

I just find it interesting the way people try to attack others on cars that have nothing to do with them lol.

But anyways, Im actually painting the car around the rims. Ive painted the rims 4 times, this is the color on them i like the best.
I guess that makes sense then. Hopefully the new dip matches the wheels well.

But in all honesty man, I would seriously consider getting new wheels. Your current wheels are like convex reps of LM reps and are very tucked in (not that I'm much of a stance guy). The wheels on that teal car posted are VMR CSL reps that can easily be had new for under $1k and completely transform the car. I understand you want to be different but it can be hard to pull it off to where it actually looks good. GL.

I will eventually, but honestly atm its not feasable, I still am buying an M3 rep hood and a diffuser for my m3 rep rear bumper. Once those are done i'll dip it, then ill work on the wheels.

The side skirts were the color of the car but the dealsership messed them up so i had to peel them. I am going to redip the car to match the wheels.

Or maybe a dark metallic gray

Im thinking black out the chrome lip, then paint the whole car Dark grey with some metallic flake, a semi flat/semi gloss finish.

Bad, very bad idea. Honestly my friend (and we are all e-friends here), you should put some stock 18 or 19" BMW rims on, make sure your car is the same color, drop it a little and call it a day. To be honest, your car is already very off (tacky, not matching, cheap/eager, 16-22yr old looking) and painting your BMW around some cheap set of wheels that don't do your beautiful car justice is a very bad idea and the final nail in your car's coffin. My $200, but it is the 100% truth and not an opinion.

Measure twice, cut once. Good luck buddy!

What color is that? Did you have it repainted?

lol best of show with this paint job at 3 shows. 1 of them in a bmw only catagory. But its all good Like ive said before, i get nothing but compliments from random people i dont even know in person, the only bad comments come from here.

But its ok.

Although that last part about it not being an opinion is kind of ignorant, but to each their own.

That's because people usually don't like saving negative things to you face to face.

From a basic design perspective the combination of colors do not work.

Looks better than having 20s, but the blues clash, and the black sideskirts make the car have a higher profile than if it were body color. The wheels would look cleaner in a silver or gunmetal to contrast. And if those are the wheels your sig references, they are not LM reps.
