My car is an 07 however this fits on all n54 motors. E8x/E9x chassis to my understanding.

Can you elaborate on how this was installed, did you do it yourself? there is a metal bar preventing the pipe from going down next to the reservoir. Was that removed or was the tubing adjusted around it somehow?

Have to remove it, I removed it when I installed mine and haven't had any problems.

Nothing dangerous about it.

Intake has been out for 5 years its not some new product by some unknown company

it's Dinan... the only aftermarket company that allows you to maintain your factory warranty (so long as it's installed at the dealer)... if they say you can do it, you can do it -- without any concern.
