2009 Annual NCC Autocross School
Calendar: USA - Mid-Atlantic
pseto
Major General

The National Capital Chapter's Annual Autocross School will be held on April 18, 2009 at the Maryland State Police Training Center in Sykesville, MD. As always, the school is directed at helping those with none or little autocross experience to get their feet wet.

Do you, or someone you know, want to participate in the school???

Please go here and sign-up for a notification when registration opens.

http://www.nccbmwcca.org/index.php?o...form&form_id=2

Last year, we filled 90% of the school's capacity with JUST those who signed up on the notification list. Typically, those who jump on the list, get first priority into the school, so it's a good idea to do it!!!

Please spread the word to everyone you know that might be interested!

here's more autox info:
http://www.nccbmwcca.org/index.php?o...id=7&Itemid=25
RSVP'd Yes: 2
  • Highflyr - ok I'll be there
  • pseto - already registered and confirmed
RSVP sign-ups for this event are now closed.

its best to get on the list now before it closes. you can always give up your spot later. autox schools fills up really fast

The cost will be no more than $50 - actual cost TBD as lot cost and insurance cost play a big factor.

You pay when registering.

People who sign-up for the notification list will get first priorty registering, as long as they have minimal experience and are club members.

thats the point, you need to be able to use your own car, so you know how to drive it properly.

Cost is going to be $40.00 for members / $80.00 for non-members (hmmm ... sounds like you should just buy the membership for $40.00!) per student. We are going to limit the school to 20 students for the maximum amount of seat time. Cost of the school will include lunch (typically pizza and drinks).

Please sign up on the notification list ASAP. We will start offering invitations to participate in February.

yes, get your own helmet, although some will be provided.

i, however, don't like to stick my head into a helmet after someone else has used it and its all sweaty, wet, and disgusting. i guess you can always get a head sock, if you dont want to get your own helmet.

i got my helmet off of ebay for less than $100. make sure its rated Snell 2000 or better. also make sure you get the right size.

OG racing has helmets, so you can see what size u need. they also sell/rent helmets too.

make sure you empty out your car too. u dont want projectiles flying all over the place which could be dangerous and deter your attention when you're on the course.

i also carry around a portable air compressor so i can inflate my tires to around 40psi.
