i saw the "out" hdmi port which would be connected to the tv.

tv also has hdmi outlets i can switch thru the ports via remote by source button.

is it the same thing with reciever hdmi ports?

Yes. So all hdmi connections go to the receiver now. The tv will stay on one source it will never have to be switched and you swith everything through the receiver. What receiver do you have?

If its the RX-497 receiver its a stereo receiver not a 5.1 and has no HDMI ports

If its the YHT-497 surround system then it has 4 HDMI inputs and 1 output.

Dont mind the blanket on the window, I was trying to block some light coming in.

New sub next to the 12" Cerwin

To give you an idea of size, its almost as big as the couch!

Energy's next to Polk for comparison

Excellent sub!!! My dad has two of them in his ht and they are awesome!!! The RC-70's are excellent also I have the step down CF-70's which I got for a steal, but I may get a pair of RC's.

The Epik sub is ridiculous. You would never think dual 15" subs would sound good. They are super clean sounding and LOUD! I am probably going to get a second one as well, why not? lol
