Have Dinan Stage II & SSTT installed at same time?

1. I went and got the Dinan Stage II done today and the place told me to keep the SSTT connected it wouldnt affect anything, Is this true?

2. How do you know which software was installed cause the tech came and said at first that the only option available is Stage I but then he came back and said no I got it working Stage II is downloading now.

Is this weird?

Do not install two tunes on top of each other. The world will blow up if you do!

That is a very bad idea.

Also, to verify that your tune is working, you should invest in a good boost gauge.

From dinan:

We at Dinan cannot express how dangerous this is to the motor and turbo's. The turbo's are too small and cannot handle this much extra boost, and either the motor or turbochargers or both will fail. Also the Dinan and BMW factory warranties will be voided because of this.

Dinan engineers have put months into developing software that balances adding extra boost and having factory like reliability. To have the ability to add this much extra horsepower onto the 335i will require larger turbo’s, a better intercooler and oil cooler. Even some modifications to the block might be needed in order to increase torsional rigidity with the increased power.

We are currently developing additional products that will produce more power safely. These include middle exhaust, Intercooler, Cold air intake, bigger turbochargers and stronger engine components.

The middle exhaust and intercooler is almost done and will likely put the engine output over 400hp safely. Additional products will follow. We highly recommend that you wait for the proper engineering and durability tests to be completed so your car will be reliable and give you years of trouble free enjoyment.

Not true. Don't listen to this guy, he doesn't know what he's talking about.

What really happens is that a very dangerous black hole is created in space and the earth will get sucked in. In fact, the more tunes you have stacked, the likelihood of other planets getting sucked into the black hole in our solar system increases exponentially. If you go with Dinan, SSTT, Helix, AA, JB2 & 3, and Shiv's rocket launcher, you may just suck our entire solar system into another dimension. Just be careful man.

Someone already installed a JB1 on Dinan Stage II, and we got treated to quite some drama. Now should you want to entertain us, go ahead and do this so we can all find out what this combo does to your car.

But seriously dude, you spent a lot of $$$ and you want to take this risk? Beats me. First of all you wont gain much, second, if you wanted a high boost tune, you should have saved your money and gone with a V3 instead. Dinan is all about warranty.

Do it and then blame Dinan if anything goes wrong...

Kidding.

You might as well turn around and get the M3, cause you will end up messing things up and paying out of pocket for repairs.

This is almost akin to putting in two boost controllers. One of them increases boost by 8 psi, and the other by 8 psi, so you are safe.

Where do you think that these tunes get power from, pixie dust and good intentions?

Thank God you asked.
