Quad setup question

I was wondering if you could use the stock muffler on the 328i with dual tips to do a quad setup? I know people use the magnaflow, but I was wondering if a new muffler is required.

The stock exhaust is to long to accomplish this. I thought about it as well but just look at it, it would be in the way. I considered having it cut down but I doubt that would work either.
