It was a joke. Half the folk on the site have numbers and letters in their usernames.

Either way this thread isn't serving too much purpose. They is clearly someone who really can't be trusted to conduct themselves in the correct manor for selling. The OP has been caught out by his bad practice, but none of us are any the wiser not to be caught out by the same seller in the future.

In the past there has been bad sellers found out only once one person comes forward. Until that point everyone had kept quiet, then you hear what has gone on behind the scenes you didn't know about that would have stopped other people getting caught up with a bad seller.

Even on ebay people have great feedback when they are rubbish sellers. People seem to have an issue leaving honest feedback when often it is deserved.

We can't have bad sellers on this forum that can get away with it as nobody wants to say anything.

Problem being not everyone will realise you were joking & can easily put two and two together and get five.

Don't want shadows cast upon incorrect names, that's all!

I agree, personally I would want to know who it is as I would avoid buying anything off them in the future. This thread has hopefully helped V get this money back but doesn't stop other people getting stung and seeing a similar thread like this in the future.

Can I echo what Jammy78 has said - please do not try and guess who this is. It really doesn't help anyone (especially me) and will put people in the firing line who have nothing to do with this situation which is a little unfair.

I have agreed with the seller an opportunity to correct this matter and I stick to that as my ultimate goal is to get a refund.

Hope you all understand where I'm coming from

I feel this thread has been helpful in doing this and thank everyone for their comments and support.

I have done a few transactions off here too since I joined. People have always been helpful even when there have been faulty goods. We have not had any quibbles and I have not left any negative feedback either after returning the item. I hope things work out so we can maintain the integrity of the forum.
