2008 e90 335xi staggered to square

My 2008 e90 335xi came staggered with 18x8 et34 / 18x8.5 et37, style 162 wheels and i run 225/40zr18 & 255/35zr18. I currently have Bridgestone Driveguards that have got to go. And my right front wheel is obviously bent from a pothole. I suspect the rear has some bend to it also, but it's not as obvious as the front. So I have decisions to make and need a little advice.

Thinking about going square. would like to run 255/35 front and rear on 18x8.5. If I use the stock 162 style wheels with et37, it says i'll be reducing my strut clearance by 9mm. That's less that half an inch. Any idea if it's gonna rub?

also, i was reading that the 162 style wheels weigh about 32 lb, versus 25 or 26lb for non-OEM wheels. is 28lb of rolling weight enough to seriously consider scrapping the 162s all together and going with a different wheel.
