DIY mods... they go smthg along these lines:

1. start of reading the instructions some dude a zillion miles away has posted on the net because the instructions that came with the mod are written for people who don't need instructions!

2. start off taking stuff out of your engine bay thinking to yourself... 'this ain't so bad' i'll just remember which screw goes where... :rocks:

3. you realise that you've forgotten where you put that last screw, and that it might be somewhere in your engine bay , you start swearing profanities and start alarming some of the neighbours.

4. you look at the pics on the online DIY guide and you think to yourself, how the f*** did he get from step 1a to 1b?! and then you realise there are like a few important steps that they just so happen to omit.

5. by now you've committed yourself, and it's too late to go back... by that i mean, your car won't work unless you fix this damn mod... so you persevere...

6. after painstakingly putting everything in place, you start the engine and thank god that it still runs!

7. you stand back, and admire your 'handy' work. you look at your grubby hands, and think to yourself, 'that wasn't so bad...'

8. you start cleaning up and you realise that there's a few things left on the ground and you have no idea where TF they go?!?!?! which at this point, you go back and start back at step 1!!!

happy modding!

yeah i agree dave, that's why i leave anything that will potential make my car undrivable to ppl who know what they're doing

i'll attempt small stuff but anything more complicated and/or requires the removal of parts etc like the bumper i'll take to someone

Haha step 5 is soo true. The thought that the car won't work unless you fix the problem angers you.. and its hard to get out of the back of your mind..

Oh damn. I'll try and find the article again and post it in off topic..
Bascially a guy who got caught by the cops because he was ranting about his antics on his forum about how he got away from them- and they arrested his ass..
Not that I have anything to rave about, but I thought it would be interesting
