Eliminate the "accept" screen?

Does anyone have any ideas on how to eliminate the need to press the idrive to indicate acceptance of the risk of using idrive while operating my 335i?

Having to wait for the "accept" screen and then having to push the idrive to accept the liability means I lose the info screen indicating if any object is in my path when I reverse. Pretty frustrating.

I'd sign a waiver to get rid of the stupid thing.

Probably living somewhere other than litigation happy USA. Can anyone verify if the European models have the same screen?

Mine goes away after about 10 seconds since I had a software upgrade. But since I'm impatient I normally just bump the iDrive controller with my forearm as I'm shoving the tranny into reverse.

Yes. Here's how. Support legislation that would ban frivalous lawsuits and protect companies from drooling morons with no common sense, and bottom feeding lawers looking for a get rich quick day. As long as our civil judicial system is "the lottery", we are subject to this.

Five minutes after BMW removes that warning, some asswipe will be in an accident while staring at his map or iDrive screen. He will then blame BMW for putting that distraction within his reach. The lawyer he finds from a late night TV ad will agree... BMW will be forced to settle for millions.

Attack the root cause, not other victims of the insanity.

The current software moves past the nag screen after 10-15 secs.
