Ok guys. Just got down dealing with two different dealerships. Here's the best deal so far.
2008 Montego Blue 335i sedan. 6 sp manual, M Aero package,(installed at the port) Sport package, Premium pack, Heated Seats, Navi, Sat Radio.
3 yr lease,
15k a year
total out of pocket 7200.00 (includes taxes, doc fees, registration, all the other crap, and 5000 towards the actual car)
590.84 a month
What do you guys think??
Total price of car is $47,595

Not so good I think....just check the invoice price and the negotiated price...then check money factor...easy to find the right spot.

I have a $52,150 MSRP E92 335i and I pay $630 with zero down...24 month, 10k mile.

For a 3 year lease on that MSRP you should be looking at $68X a month with 0 down for 3 year 15k mile a year lease.

Never put that much out of pocket never never never.. Pay the least you can which is usually $1,200-2k.

Your paying $790 a month for this car basically.. Remember dont focus on the down payment or the monthly payment. Focus on getting the car for $500-1k above invoice, then negotiate the money factor which they can add .0004 onto it and usually you can get them to split this with you (this alone can drop your payments $50-70 a month). After that BMW has of course its fixed residuals.

So go back and work it all over again, look up the money factor before you go in (they have it posted on this site). Then try and get them to agree on $500-$1k above invoice, then ask their money factor then negotiate it. Ask what the min down is and pay only that no more..(BMW lease deal website should give you an idea)

-$47,595 with or without aero kit? Cause thats exactly MSRP. (Then aero kit would cost $2,195 installed at port... at least thats what I was told.)

-$43,765 would be the invoice... so adding the aero kit = $45,960

So figure $500-1k over invoice, and you're still well under $47,595. IMO $1k over invoice is more than fair. I don't know the most about leasing b/c I've bought all my cars out right in the past. But you can definitly get that total price down.

Why? You're going to pay the difference between the purchase price and the residual one way or the other; the more you put down (cap reduction) the less that gets multiplied by the money factor, and the less you pay overall.

Apparently if your car gets totaled or something like that....you lose all money down..
