A mod day seems cool. I'm actually just putting stuff back to stock. Needing to swap downpipe intake and jb4. Once that's done I need to get brakes and rotors taken care of.. I did the jb4 install with help but really don't trust myself..

I third the recommendation for SWBimmers. You will pay a little extra but they will get the job done correctly. Someone messed up my suspension and other small things on my 335i when I had it, and they made everything all good again. Great knowledgeable guys.
Thanks Jace.

I remember that fiasco you went through with someone saying they could work on your car but just made the problem worse as well as other problems. Glad it was repairable.

No. One of our local members, Manny, has them on his car. Talk with him about them.

You have to elaborate. Do you have them already assembled and need them installed on your car or want to buy the rings and have a local shop install them? I got mine installed by Louis in Miami, but OSS didn't patent the design. So it's not illegal.

Intakes and Jb4 is cake, dp on the other hand sucks because I have big hands and no o2 sensor tool. I vow to never work on dps again, ESPECIALLY on jack stands. Sorry.

Intake is easy, I'm just missing some bolts and want it to look perfect and stock-like in case I ever have to take her in. Figure a shop can make it look better than my jerryriggin' ass.

JB4.... want to help?

Sweet. I got your PM. I need to do brakes next, so that'd be cool to see. Do you REALLY need to do rotors/brakes at the same time? Rotors seem fine but I'm squeaking at low speeds.

Big question would be fitment, when I think of M anything on our car (besides sideskirts, of course).

You dont have to replace rotors at the time of the first pad replacement but make sure you have put the anti squeak paste on the back of the pad and allow it to set up for 24 hours before installing them.

The pad and rotor on the car right now have their own groove that they have settled into. When you put fresh pads on they have a flat face and will not settle into the groves of the rotor at first and thats what causes the annoying squeak.

Every once and a while of brake replacement with fresh pads and rotors they may or may not squeak at first until they have made there groove and settled in. You can put the paste on the new pads as well to eliminate the problem all together with fresh pads and rotors.

Hope this helps.
-Mike

I know! I never roll down the rear windows much less drive the car. The rear windows acted up when we were leaving the bowling alley.

Very slim to none. Hopefully, they are stuck in the up position. If it makes you feel better, sounds like my alternator is about to self destruct.

I was able to get the driver side rear almost closed before getting on the 215. I checked the passenger rear to make sure it was fine and it went down with and is stuck. When I heard the passenger side screwing up I couldnt help but laugh at it and say "What are my odds they shit the bed at the same time!?"

I ordered both oem regulators from ECSTuning.

When I had my 335, I did Akebono Euro Ceramics when I had that awful break squeal below 20mph. The rotors seemed fine so I left them alone and had no issues. I just did pads and rotors all around on my 530 because the rotors had a very obvious lip on them. Make sure you get new sensors just to make sure that isn't helping to cause the squeal.
