328XI (GM) Trans how to remove the fill plug

So first let me say yes I searched and could not come up with the right answer.

Question is how do you removed the fill plug of the transmission fitted to a 2008 328XI? I looked under the car tonight and it looks like asside from there not being much room it looks like access to the fill plug is blocked by a bracket holding the exhaust to the back of the transfer case.

Anyone know the secrets to this job or what needs to be removed in order to gain access to the fill plug?

Every DIY I can find online seems to skip the part where they get access to the fill plug. They just say removed and pump in the fluid.
