did you remove the amber or you put the cf on top of it?

If removed, what hold the amber to the housing?

just an idea, but would it be possible to remove the amber and
replace it with the ones from the euros?

frank, you might have missed his post on how he did it. He applied the CF ontop of the amber piece with glue. Then he paints several coat of clear over the CF/amber.

Everything is easier said then done. Once you have the housing open, you really need to be very careful not to have finger prints all over the inside housing. So that makes it even more difficult and slow process.

Not sure what post he explains all this but he gave some detail on how it is done in here.

ok thanks I must have missed it.

I guess that means the amber piece is part of the housing
and cannot be removed.

Mmmm... I still like silver CF better on Monaco Blue.
It would look very close to the euros.

well there are a few places to get it actually. i have never ordered the colored CF before, i just found a few places that sell it.. they make yellow, red, and few other colors
