Put on Top speed exhaust, gonna remove.
Hi guys,
I put on the top speed 4" exhaust, and it sucks. The sound sucks really bad, like really really sucks, and its not a good fit on the rear of car, the exhausts are so close to the bumber it makes it black a little. And i also DO feel the car is less smooth and possibly slower but that might be other maintenance issues. Im gonna put back my stock exhaust. Question: I also put catless raceland DP's when i put on this exhaust sys. it is a good fit with the stock muffler right? Thanks Dan |

1)Slower: Your probably just losing more backpressure which means your not spooling as quickly. So you shouldnt really lose power as much as your losing spool speed which may feel like power. People debate the disadvantages/advantages of backpressure all day long. But if i had to guess, your perceived loss of power is just spool time.... 2)Smoother: Are you running a tune? If so, you needed to reset the adaptions for the new mod. Just sayin. Anyways, sorry to hear you didnt like it. I love catless DPs + stock catback Only gets raspy at WOT near redline. And at that point idc what the car sounds like hahaha

I'd rather spend $500-$600 on downpipes for a REAL 20-25hp gain and minimal sound increase then $1,500.0 on a cat back exhaust for maybe 5-10 horses and an obnoxious tone.

I have the exhaust and I love it. There have been a few threads recently talking about the exhaust. At first, I was very skeptical of purchasing it, due to the price ( I think its the cheapest performance upgrade we can get for our cars) but after I bought it and had it installed, I was very pleased when I first started the car and I've received nothing but compliments as well. In addition, its a nice cosmetic upgrade from the rear seeing two big ass 4' tips hanging out.

Op definitely heard the exhaust while it was a cold start with the the wastgates open and had a heart attack. Then when it warmed up and calmed down liked it.

Depends on how far the tips stick out. Regardless the exhaust won't really have any effect on what is coming out of it if there is no cat. The tune has more of an effect, depending on if it is slightly rich.

Well besides an intake, that's if you have BMS dci ($99), but anything else performance wise, yes. You can get this exhaust between $350-$450 from either Ebay or Amazon. I had the pay a few bucks more just because I'm stationed over seas.
