Thinking of painting my e93 Laguna Seca Blue....

How f'ckn cool would that be? Any photochoppers think they would whip up a pic? My car has M6 wheels right now though it would likely change if the car was repainted.

Hell, I'd consider doing a full M3 body conversion at the same time given the fact that the whole car would be repainted anyway.

Hmm, the possibilities.

and in the end...still just an e93 (with a very select - read: small - group of people who would ever buy it when you wanted to sell)

what color is it now? the only thing about repainting the car is that it would lose it's value when you go and trade it to the dealership because a new complete paint job is related to cars that have been in an accident.

The e93s hold their value much better than e92s

I see 07 e93s with 40k+ miles still being marketed for the low 40s, where for e92s, you see 09s sell for the high 30s....

I see 08s still for the low 50s....

which is the only reason i got a new one cause buying used was pointless... I'd sad 5k but then the difference in interest (4.9 vs the special .9) basically made up for it

I don't know, I think the color is one that appeals to everyone: It's an amazing color blue that gets complements from people who aren't even car people, and enthusiasts recognise and appreciate it even more. Obviously resale wouldn't reflect a color change (it never does), but I'm willing to bet it wouldn't detract on the value either, given it's a show quality job. I'm not going to be spraying this in my back yard or anything.

It's amazing how well e93s are holding up right now. I went used only because I found a fantastic deal.

Like what SLC said, there is a very small market of people that would buy that, whereas a standard color would sell much easier.

Doesnt look right on the new 3 series imo. I had an e46 M3 in LSB i miss that color but i don't think it suits the new cars.

Its a nice color but im not feeling on the e92. Maybe it will look better on the vert.
Also think about resale, most people wouldnt wanna buy a car with such a bold color.
But hey its your car man Do It!!

Do it! It will look sweet and you will probably be the only person to have it...just dont cheap out and go to Maaco. Might as well paint it p*ssy magnet yellow if you listen to the above who don't like it.

It's going to be costly though if done right.

I'm surprised more people weren't feeling it. It was only a thought anyway. I have a decent scratch from the nice valet guy from a wedding I attended this past summer on the passenger side door and it got me to thinking.
