AC/Heater Trouble

My ac stopped working a couple months ago, so I looked for a diy for how to take it out. Took it out cleaned it and it worked again. Problem is it went out again this week, ac lights come up and shows that its on but the ac/heater work. I was thinking about replacing just the blower motor resistor. Should I replace that or just the whole blower. Also if there is a way to test it before I buy a new part.
I would really appreciate it thanks guys

I would have it checked out by a tech first before you spend any time and money on it. Good luck!
