a porsche cayman S on the 407 with nobody on the road, happened by accident was not going to run with the car, and twice the car pulled and stayed ahead. Have only V1.47 Procede. Is that supposed to happen? Have E90 Sedan.

Maz...our cars do not have advantage on high speed...if you want to run them, you need to run like 40-120 or 50-130 or so....FYI procede 1.47 stop pulling when you hit 5500 rpm...thats why you need the V2, it will keep pulling until 6500 rpm.

you should have taken it.....driver error. Cayman S 1/4 is like 13.6 105mph with V1 you should be high 12's 107-8mph. If it was from a rolling start and he has the advantage from a higher reving motor and less weight, but you still produce more power and should still edge out a win. Unless he had a ton of mods on there.

Most cayman S in Toronto are stock. Trust me, there aren't much mods for it yet. Even with the techart kit, you can crank out only about 300HP.
Don't underestimate the Cayman, it was only .1 second slower than the 135i when they compared on Top Gear. The Cayman S should roll all over the 135 and 335i. |

Full tank of gas and a 200lb passenger. Isn't the cayman 400lbs lighter. Off the roll he would jump about 1 car and a half and it would stay that way. He could not pull or I could not catch up. Any ways V2 is being installed as we speak. Would that make a difference. First time dtc was on second time pressed once.

I'm being serious though, the 335i has the exact same chassis/suspension and aerodynamics as any other 3er. I would compare the Cayman S to a M3. We're on the same page buddy! I don't think so. Night drag races are shit. Heres the fifth gear review of the 135i vs the Cayman. Plus to be honest, procede v2, sstt, jb2, whatever... The most important mod is the driver. |

The 335i is a family car, a 4 door or coupe with great potential. However it will never be a race car. Theres a reason why the ///M3 was invented. I agree with you MOAB. If you were single and didn't have the kids, the cayman would be one hella fun car. Just enjoy the 335i for now. Wait for a bit then consider getting yourself a toy for the sunny weekends |

The caymanS is a nice little car for sure. But that's what it is, little. Too small for a daily, at least for me. A great weekend car it would be.
Excellence, the OP was talking about straight line speed more then what is faster in the twisties. The cayman is the obvious winner there. A piggyback on the 335 and the cayman doesn't stand a chance straight line, and a stock one should be able to hold its own.. |
