Really??? They told me they're going to charge me 1.5 hours labour. And they need my car for a day because there's some reprogramming of the airbag or some mumble jumble... I know I'm getting ripped off somewhere here, but hey, it's an economic recession! Stimulate the economy a bit right?? :P

You can just tag along to the GB install party when it happens... I'm sure no one's gonna be hating you just because you were antisocial and didn't want to participate in our GB. At least not hating you overtly...lol...

if your actually going to get bmw to install something for you make it worth the money. if you want to get a steering wheel installed, go somewhere else like bimmer sport or somewhere that does bmw work.

I decided to get BMW to do it since I'm at work today anyways and the dealership has shuttle service so I don't need to sit around and wait.
I decided to act on your advice and just leave the gauge in the car. You're right, I'm not bringing it in for warranty service, just simply a steering wheel install. |

how was the installation? Just came to my mind...they actually install an aftermarket steering wheel? They might not know, but I wonder if they know it is not OEM steering wheel, will they still do the installation and warranty it?
