Auto Show Meet

Hey Guys,

All these paintball, sushi, pizza and ski meets.... What about an autoshow meet? Did anyone have one last year?

I went to Detroit the past 4 years, so it's been a while since I visited the Toronto Auto Show.

I think the show this year will not be as good given the car manufacturers 3 are all cutting back, and this years feature will be Corvettes and Nascars...

Though if you guys want to sit in the fancy lounges, make sure you have car keys for the respective manufacturers (I know Lexus and MB last year, you just need to show them your keys)

yea, i think im going to skip this years auto show out..ive been for the last 3 years cause i get free tixx..but every year its the same crap and honestly, it doesnt even compare to the detroit one

After going to Detroit 4 years in a row, I'm actually sick of it! It does have a few more exotics that we don't get here, but overall, the show seems exactly the same every year! Did you get free tixx this year.. perhaps ones you won't use...

haha! That's already covered, I've got tickets to a show, dinner, and a room that night so I'll be out of town. Valentine's Day is a no go

Detroit is better than Toronto? Fack, I went to Detroit last year and thought it sucked ass.

Went to the show today (Media Day).

The show is less exciting that previous years... Porsche doesn't even have a booth (although Pfaff had a tuner section). Highlights:

New BMW Z4 (now a hardtop convertible... much improved design).

New BMW 7 series (too big for me but a less controversial design).

New VW CC (built on the Passat frame but sexy coupe look... won the AJACs Best Family Car over $30K... nice interior).

The Hyundai Genesis V8 is alot of car for the money (if you can get past the brand and the killer depreciation which will likely follow).

New Camaro (I hate to admit it but I liked it... total throwback and a much better take than the Mustang or Challenger... bonus: saw the girl from the Naked News doing a throw from the GM booth in the new Cadillac CTS-V...).

Infiniti came out with a convertible G37 (looks very nice) but the show stopper for Nissan is the new 370Z car. It looks very similar to the old but tighter and more visually exciting.

The best part, as always, was sitting in the stunning Maseratis and Ferraris...

I didn't bring my camera (I know, I know) but go see it for yourself!
