Wheel Alignment under warrenty???

Hey

yesterday night my brother took my car (2008 e92) out. his IS is in for service. he made an accident making a right turn. he hit the curb with the right rear wheel and now the alignment is off. the car goes to the right when the steering wheel is pointed straight.

is that under warrenty for bmw canada? or do i have to go to some other shop to get it fixed? one more thing, the car has SSTT.

IF to take bmw to re alignment, take the SSTT?

thanks

1. alignments aren't covered under warranty. take the car to a tire shop to get it aligned.
2. unless you want you warranty voided then remove the tuner.

no it is not. Make sure you get 4 wheel alignment done, don't opt for 2 wheel.

Correct. I've inquired about this with BMW just last month. Alignments are NOT covered under any BMW warranty / maintenance program.

Alignment not covered under warrenty, especially since this is not normal wear and tear

well my warrenty wont be void because of the SSTT right? as long as nothing happens as a result of the SSTT.

for the people in vancouver. can anyone please recommend a shop for getting the alignment done? and approximately how long will such a procedure take?

thanks

warranties don't cover accidents

Even if alignment were covered under warranty (and it isn't), damage caused in an accident wouldn't be. Like others have said before, if you leave the SSTT on when you take the car into a dealership for any service, you risk them voiding your warranty...

As a precaution, it doesn't hurt to take it out, even for the smallest thing.

try Nixon automotive, also your dealer will do the alignment. I had it done once at Brian Jessel. If I remember four wheel alignment is around $100-120
