Anyone know? Cruise Control Brake Lights!

As I was driving to work this morning I asked myself the same question I've wondered ever since I got the car, do your brake lights trigger when you decrease your cruise control speed? Does your brake lights flash everytime to click back to decrease 1 MPH increments? Do they come on if you have reduced your cruise 5+ mph increments? Just curious on what those behind me see when I pull back on that switch to reduce speed.

They come on if you keep the decrease for a few seconds, when you feel the brakes apply, the brake lights go on.

I think they do when I set it at 45mph and go down a really steep hill, the mpg indicator does to infiniti, when that happens, i believe the car can no longer slow down by cutting fuel so it uses the brakes.

i dont think if you cut cruise by 5 it will activate brakes but if you do it by like 10 or more, thats another story.
