With the ride height you are correct, I'm just thinking about it the wrong way round!

From what I read and from what you've mentioned about when it is on ramps then the links should meet up no bother, does that mean that if I'm working with the car on axle stands that I should raise the hubs upto the same level as they would normally be using a jack, and then the drop links should insert into the strut no bother?
This is what I did. And no issues. Tbh,you might find with more budget coilovers is that they are just copied patterns and maybe even untested. Shorter shell cases to lwr the car could cause issues if the bracket location is too high or too low,compared with length of rods. Too high and you will have pre-load, which can snap rods and rip brackets. Too low and the rods may hit arms /shock and suddenly restrict steering. You need to go to specialists who can figure out the optimum for your situation. Probably would have been more cost effective to buy a more highly priced, but more comprehensive kit

What model Hyundai has the drop links that are needed to use as shorter versions then?...

Hyundai Coupe is all I know - never got them myself, but if you google the subject, I am sure you will find lots of details and maybe part numbers too. Its a common thing to do.
