Arrow Another E90 arrives with...

the incorrect trim. I have a relative whose ordered 325i arrived yesterday @ the dealer. Upon his arrival to view the car he immediately noticed that it had wood trim instead of aluminum. After running a search on the DCS for an inbound Ti. Silver 325s with aluminum it came back with none found. So...he has had to reordered.

Edit: BTW, this was a dealer error, not BMWs mistake.

Wonder how this happended. When I ordered mine, I got a production sheet that clearly says Al trim. It is also listed in the order detail on Owners Circle. I imagine it would be BMW's fault, no? Or did your relative not get any printouts or OC access?

is he going to get something more than just an apology for the time lost?

i'd be pissed out of my mind because those 2 months of waiting from the day you order are torturous enough.

He's not as compulsive as most of us.

He asked, the BMW Center said "No."

Why can't they just swap out the trims with another car? If they will do nothing for you, I would think about ordering it from another dealer unless they can do something for you for loss of time such as giving you an free addon such as CA or 6 CD changer..Don't give up!

The vehcile is not mine, but the labor cost to swap out the trim wold be $700 and apparently there was some talk of passing that along to the purchaser.
