Finally making some progress
Hi All
I went passed the moulders on Friday and it seems that we're finally making progress. They've taken a mould of the bumper itself and will being modifying. The good thing about this one is that we won't need to modify then recast like we had to with the M-Tech / M-Sport version because this piece will literally just fit over the existing bumper. The pic below has the mould in front and you can see the bumper in the background. They should have a part fabricated within the next few days for us to start testing. Again - apologies that it is taking so long, but we'll get there... |

Diffuser Update
Hey Guys
Finally got something more substantial... I was around yesterday morning and they've created a first pass at a part for the stock bumper. It hasn't been trimmed, polished and clear-coated yet but at least it's something. The final part should be ready by Friday. Here's the part overlayed on the bumper before cutting etc. And here's the line that I was thinking of doing the trimming on. It basically follows the contour of the bumper exactly. Let me know your thoughts as we can always change it... Where to from here: 1. Create mould for quad cut-out (supposedly shouldn't take that long) 2. Modify and create new mould for same part with fins 3. Do the same for quad cut-out with fins |

Will this fit on lci models? Want something that's aggressive! Fins will be nice

Unfortunately it won't fit the LCI because the bumper profile is different. I'm going to start work on an LCI version though as soon as these 4 are complete. If you're patient enough, watch this space

I would think it would look better if the trim line came down more abruptly from top to bottom shortly after the exhaust cutout instead of wrapping around the corner of the bumper - same on other side obviously
IMO it should look as much like an actual insert in an MTech bumper as possible. And yes, some detail in the middle such as fins would break up the big 'washboard' effect... Great to see progress

I'd like to release something that people want, so I'll leave it up to you guys to decide on the final design. As for the fins, I'm going to make both options available as there has been pretty much an equal interest in both. |
