I doubt that would even be an issue since the catch can will probably (99%) never cause any problems anyways...

Ummm... honestly, I think there is more risk without it (especially if you have any tunes)... but to each his own...

Long story..my car always goes to chino, but for whatever reason they gave it to someone else this time. Oil in the coolant reservoir..GM saw the catch can and said we cant do anything because you are running a tune..no joke

I'm ALWAYS amazed at just how many of these threads pop up .....
The GM saw the OCC and denied saying the car has a tune?? Do you know how ridiculous that is AND the fact that having an OCC does NOT translate to having a tune? OCC are specifically designed to work in conjunction with turbo vehicles ... period. Absolutely ridiculous ....... take a look at my garage and the list of modifications I have made to the car. Not once have I ever been denied warranty service/work because anything was in place on the car. This with the car having been in to 2 separate dealerships. My .02 |

Aww come on bro. You know there was definately more to the story than that... Dont bash on the managers like that man. Atleast your vin wasnt submitted to bmw for what else was on the car... I'd be thankful. And like MuchMoore said, give me a heads up next time fore the car comes in

Whate else was on the car? A piggy?
I would be very surprised if he brought it in, with a piggy still in there if he had oil in the water! Some people just want to make their own rules.

If they deny coverage on something (I can't figure out what), then I'd require them to remove my intercooler at every service to wipe out all the oil.
