Thanks for the reply M, i should have stated am in the U.S. Also is the service menu the only hidden menu feature for my year and model vehicle. i Notice older models have access to a different submenu. Just curious.

I heard that if you have BMW iDRIVE (facelifted models-> e90/91 LCI) with professional Premium maps (then you also have DVD -DL player) you cannot UPDATE maps trough USB inside of glovebox, but only by DVD player (3x DVD DL discs). This is info from BMW Service !

If you have just business solution then you can update by USB in glovebox.

Ohhh, they said to me this is info from "germany", because I cannot update MAPS by USB in glovebox (but I can import for example music...). For this reason I was wondering to update vehicle firmwire -> and they answered on this it will not change anything.

Do you have e90/e91 FACELIFTED model ?

So i finally got around to emailing Seira for the FSC code and some of you may know that previously i accidently did .it and was then told it was .lt (LT)...well i just tried that now so i emailed 'seiras5@inbox.lt' and it still failed to send?!

Anyone had any luck recently emailing this guy?

You have mistyped the email address - i before e and all that!

I did the update last week to 2013 v2. Email Seira for a code and got it back within a couple of hours. Install took about 45mins using the USB port.

As for the earlier comment I've got the maps on my hard drive if people have a USB stick they want to send me I'll drop the maps on to it and send it back.

Do you use 32gb USB stick ? How you copy all folders to USB ?

Yes I used a 32GB usb copied the three folders on to it adding a number (so 1, 2, 3) to the folder and file name on the top level of the USB stick then remove the the number 1 the system will then recognise the update and ask you for the FSC code input that using the idrive and it will start installing. When the first "disc" has installed remove the USB add the number "1" back the first folder and remove the number "2" from the second disc plug the stick back into the car and it will start to install disc 2 repeat for disc 3.

All very simple really. (Apologies if I've made it sound harder than it is).

haha yeah i realised later on...it's just that earlier on in this thread the guy who corrected me from the .it to the .lt mispelt siera's name and i never bothered to check it i just copied and pasted...anyway all updated now thanks!

How did you manage the upgrade without the code?

Guys
I was sitting with the new fsc code for 2013 v2.
Inserted the DVD and it asked the confirmation to update and it started.
I guess that if you are updating the maps to the same year but v2, it does not ask for fsc codes.
I may be wrong though.

Just tried this on mine and it didn't work.

Kept requesting a code. Re-entered the code for the 2013-1 maps I already have loaded, and was told I had the incorrect code.
