Question hsd coilovers for 335i? install problems

Has any installed them on their car?335i coupe

If so I wanted to to know how do you install the front suspension.

There is a black sleeve that does not fit in the front spindle. I didn't want so clamp on the threads. Any one else have this problems

From what I can see, the black part on the front shock does not go in. Just the silver part.

HSD

I hope that you have figured it out by now, if not ... maybe you should not attempt to install yourself ? Don't take it the wrong way but it is easy.

I have never seen a coil over that you clamp on the threads. I have done coil overs on high end cars. I just finished a f430 last week. Also I have found out the answer you do clamp on the threads. What a bad design. I just should should of bought kw

Seems likes youd have to pry open the mount so you can fit the black sleeve in, that way the shock body is adjustable in height.

If you look at the kw v2 look at the front shocks. Look at the bottom half after the sway bar link bracket. There are no threads so when you install them in the front spindle they DO NOT KRIMP on the thread of the coil.

Please see HSD picture above. I could show you i have both sets at my garage.

Why do you rip on me i am just trying to get answers. I am not a dumb ass.

When i go to shop tomorrow i will take a pic for you

Here is a pic of a front JOM COILOVER Strut. If you look closely the thread will not be in the front Spindle like the kw v2.

I took these of my car i needed something better. Also tomorrow i will use my digital calliper to measure the diameters of the hole and the struts.

Sounds like you either need to pry it open enough to fit the black piece in or have it machined so its a tad thinner.

The spindle is about 52 inch/mm to stretch it out to 60 inch/mm that is nuts

form the looks of it, yes the black piece goes into the spindle so the spindle clamps onto the black ring and the strut body threads in and out to adjust height.

2 possibilities here, its meant to spread the spindle, or the manufacture screwed up the measurements, im guessing its meant to have the spindle spread so its a extremely tight fit. its just 9.1mm of difference, not that big actually

to spread that spindle is soo hard i tried for a least 20 min with a big pry. I wanted to heat it but that is a really bad idea. The best way if i wanted to put the black piece is get another set of spindles and machine it bigger to fit it
