best spots to place a v1/radar detector

I have a v1, im looking to keep it mounted so that its always in place and ready to use, however I cant stand to leave it up with fear of someone breaking into the car to steal it. I've heard stories of break-ins just cause the outline of the suction cups were visible. Anyone have any solutions/suggestions? Thanks

Full coverage insurance. I leave mine mounted high to the left on the rear-view mirror. I have tint, so you really have to know what your looking for to know its there. Plus, I have an OEM alarm with the blinking clown nose which hopefully will deter a potential thief. If not file an insurance claim.

I leave it on my visor with the window mount jammed between there and the roof to hold it at 90 degrees. Out of view unless you're really looking.

Top of the mirror is the best spot, It's out of site from the outside of the car. Also you can easy tap into the electronics of the sunroof to power it on only when the car is on. There is a DIY on which wire to tap.

Here's my setup.

Unlike other posts stated here, I place mine to the right... above the mirror just nipped below the headliner. Makes it a lot easier to see w/o having to jerk my head back a bit. Tried it on the left, but it just didn't make it easy for me to adjust my eyes to the road.

Have my V1 hardwired and at first had it mounted above the rear view mirror with the suction cups but it kept on falling off

I now have it mounted with the clip on the sun visor on the drivers side. It's completely hidden from view unless someone is really looking for it.

I done know about an E90 but in an E92 you have to mount it to the left or right of the mirror and at the same level. Mounting it about the mirror significantly cut my rear sensor range.

Some one on here had it mounted under the plastic trim piece in the center, by the rear windshield.

Don't know how it performed but it was a cool placement.
