How to achieve readiness ?
I have a 2013 335xi N55 with catless DP JB4 I went to do my emissions inspection and failed. I was under the impression the JB4 would hide the codes and allow me to pass. Is that not true ? And if so is returning to stock downpipes the only way to pass ? I've also read just put it on map 0 and that should work but I have not tried that yet.

Codes and readiness are two different things. Codes will bring up the CEL, readiness means it's actually working. Most states you can pass emissions with 1 item not ready. So you would need to get the other items good.

Hi Hunter3,
Curious to know if you found a work around for this? I just failed my inspection cause my "Service Engine Soon" light was on. I was at readiness and was able to pass that with 1 fail (DP installed) But I failed cause that stupid light was on. If I clear the codes with the JB4, I will not be able to achieve readiness. Did setting it to Map 0 work? |
