2007 328i opinions and help.

So I bought a 07 328i with about 141k miles.

Any tips or suggestions to maintain the car to keep running forever or atleast for some years?

And also would u guys recommend a Autocare plan? Or just get my things done at a private shop?
I got 10 oil changes and inspections for 5 years for 750$

And I got easycare for 2566$ for 2 years which covers
Engine all internal lubricated parts.
Transmission/transfer case
Drive axle
Seals and gaskets
Taxes and fluids

I mean overall the N52 is a great motor. Seen many with more mileage than you and still running strong. I only have 88k so I can't give my input on the 100k+ aspect of it.

Congratulations on the purchase.

Did you already purchase the maintenance plans you referred?

Do they actually change fluids on that plan.

do they actually change fluids on that plan.
(at reasonable intervals)
Makes no sense to me that anyone would insure
a car with that many miles.
BMW does not do what would be considered classical
maintenance under there free plan.
That makes high mileage BMW's a big gamble.

The Mike Miller old school maintenance schedule is the best
thing for long term but you have to do it from New to realize
the long term benefits.

If you can cancel them...

Because you won't benefit from them. You won't do 10 oil changes in this car, and if you did, you could do it yourself cheaper.

The other one covers what is very unlikely to go wrong, and costs a lot!

Search...

But...

Water pump and thermo
Spark plugs
Every gasket - valve cover, oil filter, oil pan, etc...
Every fluid - coolant, rear diff, steering, brake, transmission
Suspension refresh

And if the car was well maintained up to 140k... You should EASILY see 200k on that car...

water pumps wear out on all cars. the real issue is there's no real warning so you don't know if it's dying or if it will last another 50,000 miles.
