Anyone in Charlotte have a tune+FBO (and ideally meth) 335? Mine is JB4+Meth+intake, I'm looking for someone with the rest of the mods to hear sound of DPs and feel whether the power gain from IC/DP is worth it .
Thanks! |

I wouldn't know what the car feels like w/o the mods, but I'm satisfied w/the power mine has. I don't have meth - yet - but I do have jb3 (eventually will upgrade to 4), dp, ic, dci, stock exhaust (thinking about dropping the mufflers and running straight pipe) and it sounds/feels good to me. I'd like a little more sound from the exhaust (which is why I might do the above mod), but unplugging the exhaust actuator helps a bit. I'm in Durham but frequent Charlotte often. Not sure when I'll be back, but I can try to contact you when I'm there again. Oh, I don't have the cowl installed (easier to get to ecu) and I can hear a woosh coming from the dci. Not sure if you can hear it from the outside, but it's a great addition to the cabin ambiance.

The DP and IC is well worth every penny if you're trying to run the car with any tune...I run JB4/METH/IC/DCI/DP/CRANK PULLEY/EXHAUST...I'll be in Charlotte this Sunday for the EUROWISE meet and i'll bring my E92 or 1M or Both

Fortunately for me, I got lucky and purchased a car (unknowingly to me for the first few months) that was already modded. The previous owner either forgot to remove the mods, didn't have stocks to replace, or just didn't bother with swapping them out. So, I don't know anyone offhand that specializes in adding (although I'm sure you can find someone to do the work; just a matter of asking around). As for other work, anything I've had done was at the stealership via aftermarket warranty. Quote:

Awww maaan! I saw you pull up and was admiring your car. Got a 'lil excited to see that you parked next to me. I guess the Ferrari that was next to me moved so you could have the spot. Too many Bimmers in the row for him. lol Hope to actually talk to you next time you come out.

We hope to be there too. Not sure which car (if not both) we'll have. Trying to talk my husband in to taking his white '01 540i, just in case you don't see mine too.

Hey guys,
I will be returning from my deployment to Jacksonville next week. I have a set of DP's that I bought before I left 7 months ago, and might need to have a shop install them if I can't manage since I have an xi and have never done a sub-frame drop before. I was thinking of taking it to Majestic Motorsports in Jax if need be, but they have some awful reviews. Do you guys happen to know anywhere close to Jax that is reputable? Also, where and when does this coffee and cars meet commence? |

Do you know if that is close to the Crab Tree shopping center? I have only been to Raleigh a few times and use that as a reference point.

Its not far from the RDU airport from what i understand. I have only been there a few times myself. I usually google map Briar Creek Commons and it gets me there.

Briar Creek is "down the road" from Crabtree. If you're on 70 and Crabtree is on your left (say, coming from 440), just keep going straight down 70/Glennwood. You'll eventually go under the 540 overpass and at the next light, you'll be at the Briar Creek area. Turn left at the light and it's down on your left. Pull in to the shopping area and look for Barnes n Nobles, then look for the crowd of people/cars. It's also right off 540; don't know which way you're coming from.
