New wheels on the xi (Warning: Car has not been dropped!)

New wheels are on the car! They're Eurosport 5371's wrapped with Hankook V12's. (225/35/19 et 35 front and 265/30/19 et 38 rear - 2 revs per mile difference.) I also painted the lower mesh black (not seen in the first pic.) Next weekend the orange reflectors are coming off! Oh, and yes, I know the car is very dirty

Now I have to decide on a shock/spring combo or coils. Hmmm....

looking good. love those wheels.

for some reason your stock ride height doesnt look that bad. the rear looks low already.

i wish BMW offered sport susp. on the XI already. just announced today that the F30 XI still doesnt get sport susp. maybe they are waiting for the M335XI for the sport susp.

It's actually the new "Off-Road" package. It comes with a winch and a hitch on the back

just curious, why didn't you go with:
Front 235/35-19
Rear 265/30-19

?

Looks good at stock height, shocked it's an XI too. I also have the same question as the fellow above ^.

I wanted to keep the rolling diameter as close to even as possible front to rear. So specifically for the Hankooks V12s the 225/35/19's are at 823 revs per mile and the 265/30/19's are at a 821 revs per mile - 2 revs per mile difference. The 235/35/19 are 816 revs per mile which would have put me at a 5 revs per mile difference front to back.

This varies by model of tire. I was also looking at the Conti DW's and for those I would have gone with 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 since those are at a 818 and 821 respectively.

Just want to keep the X-Drive system as happy as possible!

Interesting... good call then. Looks good by the way.

edit: one other question... why not just go square setup then? Just curious.

I thought about going square, but decided on staggered for a couple reasons:

1) Looks. Yep, somewhat vain, but I like the appearance of a staggered setup.
2) More importantly I was thinking about resale. I kept my stock wheels and tires and when I sell my car I'll revert back to stock and will part out the wheels. I think I'll have an easier time selling a staggered setup to attract all of the non xi/x-drive guys. (They're 8" front and 9" rear.) I could have run a square tire setup, but didn't want a situation where one of the tires looked stretched or too big for the wheel.

I run square in the winter since safety is more of a factor to me and I want skinnier tires.

The ride height on the e90 does not seem as high as the e92 for some reason. Especially in the front.

Really? Thanks the tip. I thought it looked a little off, but I wasn't sure.

I have a 30et front and back with the Beyerns and I think my car looks pretty good, but a SLIGHT drop would look really nice. Thinking Bilstein & Eibach combo would be perfect.
