What is the first thing you going to do when you take it off the lot, as for me I am going to take the longest drive home then take it to the tint shop the next day.

I am not going to do anything to it as far as mods. I think it looks awesome already but ofcourse that's just my opinion. If everyone thinks like i do the the mod dealers would be out of business real soon. However, beside tinting I may possibly get a JB2 for an extra kick.

VVA330 and pluckydc - your CA told you this weekend. That's great news since I'd imagine that with my being in NYC I should get my car at the same time if not before you guys in Va.

Mine is supposed to follow up tomorrow with more info and a better idea on the delivery date for me.

Just checked and my car shows "discharged" as well.

If all goes well, I'm guessing I'll have it the week before thanksgiving...Another 4 weeks of waiting!!!

For those in VA saying you will have the car THIS weekend, please do post. My dealership is all of a 1 hour drive from the port, and according to my CA, my car is scheduled to be dropped off at the dealership this Sunday. One day of dealer prep, and he said Monday is likely when I can drive her away. I was at the dealership (taking care of the financing), and saw the date in black and white myself, so I know that was no BS. He told me if the car was to roll off the truck before 5PM on Friday, I could get it Saturday, but the odds were low, so not holding my breath...

Saturday, Monday - its all good

I'm not expecting it, but, it would be nice for the dealer to be right and I was driving away this weekend.

Who knows how it all works. Maybe since you still had to take care of financing it didn't put your car in priority - I'm paying cash. Don't know for sure. I trust you that you will get it first, but, depending on where in NY you live, maybe it takes longer to get to you. NoVA/DC is only 4 hours away from the port (without traffic).

What is crazy is how the 1800 number keeps changing my status. After it was discharged, it said my car was back in Germany awaiting to get on the boat...a few hours later it says "in transit" and then a few more hours later it says it's back in Germany. Keeps flip flopping. The one thing it never said was it was at the VPC. I hear this is not unusual.

My wife is telling me i am spending too much time on here. I think she is right, I haven't been a very good hubby for the last month or so. This car needs to get here soon so i can start getting back to the normal life.

No kidding. Although I try to only look at this board when she's not around.

I think financing has nothing to do with it - I had that all set up previously (Told my CA I was going to walk in with a check too - when the rates we 10%), but BMW offered good terms (4.9% ) and the approval process took ~5 minutes. I could have done it over the phone, however I also wanted a quote on a trade, so they obviously needed to see that...

What does expedite a car getting preferential treatment is "custom order" (i.e. Priority 1) (all of us!) v. cars ordered for dealer stock

I'm not saying I'm gonna get the car first, but if you do get yours, PLEASE post, so I can hound my dealer - lol.

I heard the 800# is pretty much useless one the car gets on the ship. CA is definitely the way to go!!

You are correct. Probably came out wrong. I was only hoping my CA would be right with the first answer...looks like it will be Saturday or Monday. I was told it probably will be delivered on Sunday - but they are closed, so that means Saturday and it wouldn't be ready until Monday. Will let you know...PLEASE do the same!
