DIY prepurchase inspection?

its nice that there's a collection of CC-ID error codes stickied on this forum but....

has anyone ever put together a quick e90-specific inspection guide?
like, stuff with pictures on what to look for, how to visually identify problems, stuff like that?

i normally get prepurchase inspections but i'm willing to accept a little more risk at this point (running out of time to buy a car), as long as i can avoid the big common problems.

some things that might be included in this theoretical guide
->how to identify if the water pump/tstat have not been replaced
->how to identify valve cover gasket leaks
->how to identify oil valley pan gasket leaks
->other common issues that can be visually confirmed
