The reason why is because most strut braces will not clear the stock air box.
I've heard that some will fit clear the air box on the e90 but will hit the hood of an e92.

Usually car manufacturers use the same strut for every model since it's the same body style, but not in this case since the air box is in the center of the engine bay.

This description is most likely a typo. The "except 335" part was added after they did a test-fit for me on their car (which I believe is an E92) last November.

It doesn't fit any 335i. It'll hit the airbox.

I've asked TMS to update their website.

I suppose that if you have dual cone filters that you would have a better chance of fitting a strut bar under there eh?

FYI,
I picked up an OEM strut brace and the fit is fine with the AFE intake.
The strut brace is currently being anodized black along with my Forge Diverter Valves.

I'll take a picture of it installed.
I just hated the aluminum look. It clashed too much in the engine bay.
I think that the matte black wil go much better.

umm.. According to CEC's catalog, the AC Schnitzer strut brace actually fits the E92 coupe. On the other hand, it doesn't say it fits the E90 sedan. Anyone tried installing the AC Schnitzer strut brace on the sedan before?
