BMW Performance Exhaust Owner.
I just recieved my exhuast few weeks ago and i have installed the BMW performance exhuast on m car already. However, my car is a E92 328 non-sport package with stock intake. The sound with the bmw performance is not as loud as i expect. (I kinda want it to bit a bit more louder).
Few questions here. 1) which intake will give u a sound boost? (good price)? 2) will the bmw perf exhuast go louder after break in? or remain the same? right now i am on 189km. Thanks guy |

If its like just about every other exhaust, it should get a wee bit louder over time. If you want more sound, Id delete the secondary cats to really make the exhaust sing.

i heard deleting the 2nd cat will make the exhuast smell worse and TOO loud, is that true?
so after a few coupe hundred kms will make the car sounds louder? |

No smell. If you delete the primary cats and go fully catless, then ya, youre gonna have smell

I can only speak for the BMW Performance Intake...super pleased with it. It will add a few decibels by the fact that it flows better (more air). I also liked the fact that these parts were designed/engineered to work together, and don't affect your warranty. This is what I experienced with the Performance exhaust: It will change it's tone, quite a bit actually, at around 1000 miles. That is when you hear its true sound. So, drive it some more, and don't be afraid to really get on it, your ECU is also learning the new part. Hope this helps.

an exhaust will get louder over time ... i believe what you are looking for is cabin noise ... i did a silencer delete and that made the engine slightly louder as air enters the engine ... i now have a gruppe m rep intake and that has increased a lot of cabin noise due to the size of the intake cone
