can interior leather door cards be removed and reinstalled?

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick one.

I want to swap my interior... i have found some great deals... the leather is in good condition but the plastic panels aren;t

I was wondering if i could just remove the leather parts from the door cards and install them on mine good condition door cards?

Well, I guess it's possible

The leather parts are attached to the plastic parts with a ton of sonic welded posts. You would need to melt the mushroomed over portion of each post on the backside of the panels & push each one thru.

Then you would need to re-melt each post over to affix the leather parts.

You may or may not have enough length left on the posts after the 1st melt to remove the leather parts to enable re-affixing them.

If you look at the backside of your panels you'll see what I mean...

I've heard some have luck with using tiny screws/washers into each post instead of trying to re-melt.
