Exhaust tips

Hi guys just wondering how do you guys clean exhaust tips?


After a week of rain (being in vancouver this is gona last til march), there
are lost of soil and crap stuck on to it.

how do i clean it without scratching the surface?


also on the side now, is there something special i should use to clean/polish
the wood trim? or is damp towel is good enough?

before the crap had a chance to build up, i used Mothers Chrome Polish to clean, then Poor Boys Wheel Sealant to protect. even though i only wash my car once every two weeks, just spraying it with a nozzle still clean the dirt right off

If the tips are caked in exhaust deposits I use EO Nevr Dull, seems to work pretty good but it can scratch delicate surfaces.

You can even use very fine #0000 steel wool and then a polish like Mothers chrome polish or P21S polishing soap. If the very fine steel wool isn't abrasive enough, try Fine #000, but don't go more abbrasive than that.
