Question maybe you'll know the answer? So I'm setting up my appointment to have the LSD and the Lock down kit installed. Was there a previous lock down kit before this? Im pretty sure there was but I wonder is this now the GEN 2 version of it because the guys at VAC said the first batch wasn't to impressive when he first saw it. Also do you notice any noises or stranger vibration with it installed?

FFTEC did mine, you can probably get it done slightly cheaper elsewhere, but the guys there really know their stuff and I don't trust this type of NON-oem work with anyone else.

Ping them, but it's about a 3-4 hour job, as they drop your entire diff and exhaust.

I was able to drop my diff in under an hour. The disassembly took longer (it sat for a few days due to work interference) since I didn't have the right tools for pulling the c-rings. If I could go back again, I think 3-4 hours from start to finish, disassembly to reassembly, sounds about right.

There were prototypes before this kit... Prototypes never shipped so I'm not sure what VAC is talking about.

I'm also planning to install a wavetrac lsd but stay with just the stock rubber bushings as it's mainly my daily driver with occasional track days. I have 29K miles on the car/stock bushings so wanted to know if others are finding them to be a high wear item or if I should be ok reusing the stock bushings for my LSD.
