what color is this car?
decoded a vin, colors dont match dealer desc
So I am looking at this car for purchase. They list it as montego blue. I decode the vin here http://www.rubmw.ru/vincode/eng/ and it displays Lemans Blue. Another vin decoder also said that. Are these decoders always correct? last seven of vin P159377 Does this look Montego blue or Lemans Blue to you? thanks. |

LeMans because it's Msport.
Looks like a good detail job on that paint!

well now I feel strange. I have been under the assumption that this was Montego. Looking at other Montego blue cars online and all. Now that I know it is a different color, even though I still like it, I am feeling misled. Btw, I have a deposit on this thing and just figured out that it was not Montego.
I dont think it changes much, I like the way it looks regardless of the name of the color. Honestly, I enjoyed the idea of having Montego. Thanks to all the replies. |

Montego blue is darker. I hope you don't mind me asking, but are you located in Charlotte? If you have some extra time when you go to pick it up ask them to show you their 2JZ swapped e36 M3 track car!

Atlanta, yeah I plan on checking out all of their cars. They seem to have some nice inventory.

I'm not sure if it's formally part of their inventory. I've known of it for easily a year or so and I can't imagine that car just not selling, so I've always assumed it was a car they bring to track days or shows. It's a really nice build. I don't know anyone who has ever purchased a car from them but they've got a decent amount of respect in the car scene around here. Oh, and if you want to get a pre purchase inspection, Eurowise is pretty much the best place in the area.
