I already have a SonyEricsson P990i which I am very happy with and can do alot more than the iPhone can for half the price!! It also works perfectly with my 335i! The iPhone still needs to be tested if it will work.

I'm a Verizon guy, too. We have great service but are locked into mediocre phone choices. I'd love to have a good Sony Ericsson. A friend of mine has one that's awesome.

Did you know that people have been camped out at Apple Stores? They've been at the one near me for three days.

I was tempted, but have decided to wait a little bit.

I have two SE's; w810i and T630 and I also have an original Moto Razr V3. The SE's are excellent phones. Now, if I sold my suite of phones, that would make the choice easier.

I just traded my Moto Krzr for a Samsung SCH-U620 yesterday. Something was wrong with the Krazr's battery. Several charge cycles and the most I could get out of it was a day of standby and maybe an hour of talk ... and that was with Bluetooth off!

Haven't tried pairing the Sammy with my car yet. I'll post details on appropriate forum.

So far, the phone itself is awesome. Love speech-recognition text messaging. It's starting to learn my voice, but so far, most messages are like this: "Hay dupe. Yew want to go to shit poke lay for a burr eat oh and a beers?"

I'm getting an iPhone as soon as they make it over here. It's from Apple so I know I will be a device that works and is a pleasure to use.

Now there's a buggy phone that makes you works you like a slave.

I have the P900 - which cost 1K back in the day. Until the iPhone rumors started, I would have liked the P990 but they've never managed to get the bugs out. (SE gave up last week: no more firmware updates.)

I work for Sprint...worked for Nextel before we got acquired. I carry the Nextel i870 for the mp3 and walkie-talkie capabilities and have a new crackberry for my work e-mails and calendar...

I may be changing companies soon, so I think I may end up with a Moto Q as well, and converge everything into one device.

Sorry, dude, but I would take it you have the P990i without generic world 1 firmware?? I never had a single problem with my phone, but I do follow the forums at www.my-symbian.com and have read many complaints like yours. I might just be one of the lucky ones that don't have so many problems. Back in May I just fell in love with SE for fixing my last problem which was the bluetooth with BMW! Oh and I only paid $335.00 for the P990i, and that just makes it worth while.
